Generative AI may be used in manuscript writing only to improve the language and readability of the authors' own text. Such use must be disclosed, naming the tool, its purpose and confirming that the authors reviewed the output and remain responsible for the content. Basic spelling, grammar, punctuation and reference-formatting checks do not need to be declared. AI used as part of the research itself is described in the methodology, not in the writing declaration.
Abstract-only submissions: use the separate AI-use declaration field in the submission form. It is not part of the abstract word count.
Full papers: include the statement immediately before the References, in addition to the form declaration.
Revised material: follow the same rule when sending updates through the link in your confirmation email.
