Publication

Accepted work can be published at four levels: the Abstract Book, the conference proceedings, journal opportunities for selected full papers and, for suitable research, a monograph or academic book. Each level has its own conditions, explained below.

  • Double-blind peer review · iThenticate screened
  • ISBN Abstract Book · Proceedings with ISSN & DOI

Four Levels of Publication

International Conference on Higher EducationAbstract BookISBN
Level 1

Abstract Book with ISBN

Every abstract that is accepted after peer review and whose author has completed registration is published in the conference Abstract Book, which carries an ISBN. Abstract-only publication is allowed: you do not need to write a full paper to appear in the Abstract Book. Registered participants receive a digital copy.

International Conference on Higher EducationProceedingsISSN · DOI
Level 2

Conference Proceedings with ISSN and DOI

Full papers submitted a few weeks after the conference are reviewed double-blind. Papers that meet the review requirements are published in the conference proceedings, which carry an ISSN, and each paper receives its own DOI. The proceedings are indexed in Google Scholar.

Conditions

  • an accepted abstract
  • a registered presenter
  • a full paper that follows the Author Guidelines
  • a positive review outcome

A full paper is optional; submitting one does not by itself guarantee publication in the proceedings.

Level 3

Journal Opportunities

Selected full papers may be considered for publication opportunities in Scopus-indexed journals; final acceptance depends on paper quality and the decision of journal editors. Authors of eligible papers will be informed of the relevant journals and their submission requirements after the conference. Journal publication is never included in, or guaranteed by, the registration fee.

Academic bookMonographISBN · DOI
Level 4

Monograph / Academic Book Opportunity

Authors whose research suits a longer treatment may be invited to develop it into a monograph or academic book. This gives the opportunity to explore the research in greater depth than a paper allows. Submitted manuscripts are peer reviewed, and accepted books receive an ISBN and a DOI. A book can strengthen your academic profile, reach a wider audience and add a substantial item to your publication record.

Benefits

  • Present the research as a comprehensive scholarly work.
  • Strengthen the author's academic profile.
  • Reach researchers, academics, students, and practitioners.
  • Expand the author's publication record and support future academic or professional opportunities.

This route is subject to editorial assessment and available capacity. Expressing interest does not guarantee publication, and final decisions follow peer review and rest with the publisher.

Peer Review and Editorial Process

Abstracts and full papers are reviewed double-blind by members of the Scientific Committee. Reviewers assess relevance, clarity of purpose, methodological soundness, contribution and presentation quality. Authors may be asked to revise; reviewer-requested revisions have their own deadline, given in the reviewer email, and are sent through the update link in the original confirmation email. Editorial decisions on the proceedings rest with the conference editorial team; decisions on journals rest with those journals' editors.

Ethics, Plagiarism and AI Disclosure

Submissions may be screened with Crossref Similarity Check powered by iThenticate (crossref.org/services/similarity-check). Similarity screening detects overlap with existing publications; it is not a verdict on whether AI was used to write a text. The conference expects original work, approved by all co-authors, with appropriate ethical approval where human participants were involved.

For manuscript writing, generative AI may be used only to improve the language and readability of the authors' own text, with disclosure. Authors remain responsible for the submitted content. Applicable AI-use declarations are kept with the submission and accompany the published material where required.

Indexing and Visibility

Each paper published in the Conference Proceedings or in a journal receives its own DOI, registered with Crossref, allowing it to be cited and accessed through a permanent link. Conference Proceedings are indexed in Google Scholar. Journal articles may also be indexed in recognized scholarly databases such as DOAJ, Scopus, and other indexing services, depending on the journal in which they are published.

Publication Timeline

  • Abstract BookPrepared after registration closes; distributed to registered participants around the conference dates
  • ProceedingsPublished after full-paper review is complete; authors are informed by email
  • Journal opportunitiesEligible authors informed after the conference; timing set by each journal

Existing authors upload a later full paper using the update link in their original confirmation email, or follow the instructions in Help & Support.

From Abstract to DOI

Every accepted abstract appears in the Abstract Book with an ISBN. Full papers submitted after the conference are peer reviewed for the Proceedings, with an ISSN, a Crossref DOI, and Google Scholar indexing.
